Blogging is a way for people to express how they feel online, but it can also be a great way to earn money.

Although you may not see it as a formal business, it is something you can do as a fun hobby. These are some of the basics of blogging and how you can get started with your blog.

Find a niche

Before blogging, you will need to know what your niche is. A niche is basically what your blog will be about and it is important that you choose a niche with which you can get some traffic. You have to find a niche that is not too saturated but that is not too unknown either. Choosing a niche like baseball can be very common, but it's a better idea to try to be more specific when choosing a baseball team, rather than the entire sport. You will need to find a niche that you can constantly write about and something that you really have a passion for.

Stay consistent

Choose a day of the week that you will post your next blog so that you can inform your readers when to expect a new post. You will have to stay consistent because most likely you will not have readers at the beginning, but you will have to remember that they will come. Do not base your success on the comments and number of views, if not on how constant you are.

Once you've digested these blogging basics, you can start blogging. Starting and running a blog isn't really that difficult and as long as you choose a niche that you are passionate about, you will never get tired of blogging.
